Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” -Sir Winston Churchill, Former British Prime Minister

Whatever the size of your business you’ll usually be in one of three places

Having a growth attitude you’ll be constantly looking at how to have more effective plans, be doing more of the right things and telling your story to your ideal clients in a more engaging way.

You perhaps feel that you’re only ever in one place…. “doing” and if that’s the case how do you know you’re doing the right thing? How do your actions serve the direction and goals you’ve set for your business and personal rewards?

Likewise, how do the marketing and associated selling activities identify, inform, nurture and entice your prospects and clients? How are those activities performing in generating cash & profits to achieve your goals?

One of the single most powerful and transformative undertakings for your business would be to adopt a continuous planning mindset, have a clear plan and to regularly review your performance against that.

Be honest with yourself, when was the last time you reviewed your strategic planning? When was the last quarterly review? What were the learnings from that and how have you applied them to the business? How have you passed on the best practices across the business, team, customers and suppliers?

If you only create and look at your plan when you need something (funding or aiming to sell it) how aligned do you think your team are with what you need and they want?
